The Long Run

Its been a while since I last checked in so here's whats new ...............

Triathlon season officially ended for me last month and although I didn't race as many short to mid course distances as I normally do , I did tally up with the following.

1- 10K race ( PR'd)
1- Ironman ( Lake Placid )
1- Half Ironman ( The Vermont Journey )
1- Marathon ( Nigara Falls- 11-2007 * )

So in retrospect it was a pretty tough season of endurance sports. But I still LOVE it ! So much so that I'm thinking of an ultra marathon for 07. The Vermont 50 miler is a badass event. Its done in conjunction with a 50 mile mountain bike race -so plenty of action.

A friend of mine did the Little Red Light House 6 mile swim in NYC and had a blast..so there's a chance that I might do that too.

As of late its been mostly running. I did 38 miles last week and am shooting for 42 this week.

There is something about running that is holy.

You put your shoes on, and out the door you go. Its just you and the road .

I leave for Europe in a week, so running in Paris, Florence and Portofino will be uber- cool !

Pic to follow. Be Good and train safe!
