In Praise of Women and all things Beautiful

A friend was asking me the other day who I thought the most beautiful woman alive today is.

I said, thats easy, Diane Lane !

To me she is the epitomy of beauty.

Next is my wife. I still find her as sexy and stunning as the day I met her.

Its not just the physical attributes that draws me in, but more in terms of how a woman carries herself. How she dresses, how she strikes a pose, and most importantly how comfortable she is in her own skin.

Just earlier today at the market, I saw this woman,probably late 40's , African-American,statuesque,blond-hair cut very short. Dressed in a white v-neck t-shirt and tight jeans ....man was she stunning !

It was a moment straight out of a Trufault film. I actually felt I was in a film clip.

I guess I'm writing this partly because I'm putting a new project together. Probably my next exhibit. Its going to be a film-noir series of women in passing.
Crossing the street, at lunch, in taxi's,elevators, thru windows, crying,laughing,dressed,naked.

Definitely an hommage ....from Eve to Erica !

To add to the tactile quality, I'll be shooting it in B&W 35mm, blown up to 30x50 inches, super grainy and toned in various tints.
