Steve Larsen R.I. P

I just read over on Slowtwitch.com that Steve Larsen,39 , father of 5, husband, pro triathlete, all around great guy passed away yesterday during a track workout.

It was just a few weeks ago that I had mentioned to him online that he ought to come back to reclaim his crown at Ironman Lake Placid where his course bike record still stands I believe.

He said he might celebrate his 40th birthday at IMLP.

Steve always took the time to respond to questions and seemed to really care about people. Never talked smack about anybody and always stayed positive.

He walked quietly but carried a big stick.

My heart is very heavy today as I can only imagine what his family is going through.

God must have needed him.
