The Big Bitch !

Thats what my late friend Bill Bayer called Mt. Hood in Oregon.

It was during the summer of 1991 that I first laid eyes on this incredible wonder of the American Northwest.
Claudia and I were on a Oregon-Washington trip driving up and down the coastal Hwy 1 route,but had gone inland on Interstate 5. It must have been close to 90 F and it blew me away to see the
snow capped peak of Hood. More volcano like in prescence than a regular mountain, one could easily call her the sister mountain to Fuji.,which I believe is snow capped year round.

There are 3 brave men that are stranded there today.

I can only imagine what they are going thru as the mountain gets pummeled with 80-90 mph gusts and snow storms. My prayers are with them.

Its spooky how warm it is outside. 50 something today !

I'm going to try to get a bike/run in , but I've still got a bunch of errands to run and since I've still got the rental, might as well use it for all this running around.
