TGIF
Wed- I decided to take it off as my energy level has fallen off quite a bit. My resting HR is still acceptable so I am not over-training,but with Thurs 16 miler I needed to rest. Stretched and hit the jacuzzi. Afterwards I did some upper body weights. Bench press, Shoulder press, curls and lat pull downs. I can see my bicep and lat definition improving already so this is just a maintenance session.,and BMR boost.
Thurs- Got the 16.3 miles in but I'd say it was a struggle. Most of it was slow conversational pace.I wasn't tired aerobically,nor were my legs stiff and sore. I just had very little energy . The culprit might be depleted Glycogen stores. I ate well Wed,but perhaps not enough,and wrong timing.Nevertheless...T says that its a good thing that I'm feeling the way I am, he says that is a sure sign of progress and that the running overload is exactly what I need to take my running to a whole new level.
Its just going to get harder, so " Suck it up ! " he says !
Next week is the last Speed session on Tues then a 22 miler on Thurs and after that its a bit easier until taper.
Sunday marks the end of Run Camp. Looks like I'll make it as its just an 8 and 6 miler to go.
Its snowing good outside,so I'll be opting for a swim later today and a 1 hr spin on the bike to loosen up my legs a little.
