Orange Sky

Thats what yesterdays sunset was like. As beautiful as it gets for a winter sky. The days are already getting longer and although its cold out I feel a warmth inside knowing whats around the bend.

Have you heard Alexi Murdoch's music ? He has a song called Orange Sky . I've been listening to his music lately, its very soothing and cleansing. Listening to that song while running takes me back to good places and emotions.

....Yes I had a dream
I stood beneath on orange sky
With my brother ,you know, you know
I said Brother, you know, you know
Its a long road we've been walking on......................

In your love my salvation lies
in your love my salvation lies ......

So Run Camp is behind me now. I feel great that I wrapped it up as planned, no skipped sessions and no pains or injuries.

Sunday was my last long run ( 22 miles ), hit all sorts of PR's on this run so I hope I didn't go too hard. I finished it with a bit of push in effort, but I'm almost fully recovered so I think it went well.
I realize more than ever that I've always had decent speed in running. I also now know that I was limited by inadequate base, and run form. These are things that get better by doing the time and miles. Its going to be mission critical that I focus on the mental side of things to hit my goal at Hyannis.
This is the secret to any endurance event.

I've got a full plate of artistic projects this week, so I'm looking forward to some studio and field sessions.
