Inspiring Weekend


Yesterday was Ironman Canada and Slowtwitch.com's favorite son Jonnyo came in second to winner Kieran Doe. What an awesome race by Jonnyo !

Here's a guy who couldn't break 50 mins in a 10 K just a few years ago. His work ethic and belief in himself is a testament to what can be achieved.

Another incredible peformance was that by Jordan Rapp.
Jordan who is usually known as a 70.3 and recently 101 series racer. Apparently his 101 race series went defunct and decided last minute to enter IMC w/ probably little focus on that distance as far as training, and comes in 5th overall. This after crashing his bike and flipping over the bars !

Now that is huge ! I hope he decides to go to Kona and make Ironman his focus. Another Slowtwitch favorite, and just a really nice guy. I own one of his FSA carbon cranks, so I know him thru the boards.

With all that took place this weekend, I am hoping to use this as fuel for my race on Sunday at LG.

Tues- 2500 yd swim + weights
Wed- 20 mile Bike + 2 mile easy run
Thurs- 5 mile run
Fri-1500 yd swim + 10 mile Bike
Sat-3 mile run or OFF
