Swim Meet


Yesterday was my last open water swim before Lake Placid.

Packed up the car with my training partners Sam & Mac and their mommy. Even though it was a little overcast and drizzling, it was a blast watching the 2 dogs swim like champs !

My yellow lab Sam swims like Thorpe. He can go out on the water forever. His eyesight is getting worse though,but he compensates with extra sharp scent and hearing. PLUS he's got his lil bro Mac to be his seeing eye dog.

Mac(black lab) is still a pup. He's just about 8 months now and full of energy. He absolutely adores Sam. Even though they're work dogs, they become family members at the end of the day.
They love watching TV with us in the evening,and Mac is the biggest mush @! He is a snuggler-couch hog.

Going to Queechy Lake to swim is a tradition that I treasure. No motorized water craft at all !
Crystal clear and as good as it gets for Tri training. After a swim, you can hop on your bike and bike in the Berkshires of New England then run along the lake .

Al Roker has a house on the lake. I see him once in a while at the store. Nice guy.

11 DAYS til the Show ! Bring it on !

Oh yeah...my new race wheels should arrive any day now. I'll post a pic of my steed all dressed up in a day or so.
