Christmas Comes Early


I've been feeling soft and pudgy as of late so this past week has been nose to the grindstone workouts.
Tuesday- Swim 3000yds-Run 45 mins
Wed- 1:45 Indoor Bike/ 10K run

By Wednesday evening I decided to do our local Turkey Trot as a social run.Hmmm , woke up late barely got to the start w/ 1 minute to spare., no warm up...so I was kinda pissed that I didn't get to see anyone and chat. Off the line I decided to take out my frustration and just take off. As luck would have it I PR'd my 5K time of 24ish mins to a 22:35 on a hilly course. How cool is that ?
Not blazing fast by any standard, but for a weak runner I felt elated.
Maybe my Biorythms were in sync, who knows ? I'll take em any way I can.
I actually thought I'd have flat legs from the bike/run brick but they were good, and in all honesty I think I could have pushed a bit more but ran the last 1/4 mi with a friend at a cruising pace.

This morning I did a victory 1 hr bike/ Easy 7 mile run brick to work off Thanksgiving.

This upcoming 2 weeks are going to be a bitch as its 14 days of Paleo to get my Body Comp in line. No sugars at all ! Carbs only in the morning, and its only Oatmeal or Brown rice. The rest is chicken,fruit and veggies.

I'm also back on Creatine since I'll be on a 3x/wk weight room session to firm up and improve my BMR.

All runs during this period are capped off at Easy-Zone 1.5 148 bpm max !!!!

Still waiting to hear from Kenny at PP if I got into IMLP or not......man I hope he comes through for me.
