Last Epic Sessions
Today is going to be one of the last "going long" days before I start my 20 day taper.
On tap is a 4K swim ( 4x1000's on 65 secs rest) + 2 hr Zone 1.5 run w/ the last 15 mins at Zone 2.5.
Friday- 5+ hr ride + T-Run of 15 mins
Sat- 3K swim + 1hr run + 1.5 hr spin on trainer
Bloody Sunday- 1hr swim + 5 hr bike + 1 hr Run + 2 hrs of walking/hiking/yard work. This last workout is about keeping the legs loaded for 8+ hrs
All of the above done at easy. Its all about the last push in volume w/o intensity. I hope I survive !
I think I've made enough deposits into my Endurance Bank to get thru IMLP . I really want to enjoy the day from start to finish...so I'm going to toss aside my goal time and relish in the event.Remember to respect the distance, honor the sacrificies my family and I have made ..... and always smile for the camera. I need to use the visuals of all the guys and gals that I always see suffering in total anguish during their Ironmans and use those images to fuel my " You Don't Want To Look Like They Did " mantra !
This might be my first & last IM for a while as I much prefer the 70.3 events . Its going to be a very busy next few years ....so enjoy the moment.
